Biography

Barnabas, a classically trained cellist, turned his musical direction towards song writing and the guitar. From that time on he has been performing regularly around England and Wales. In the comparatively short time he has been writing music, he has recorded and released two albums and four singles both with a band and as a solo artist. Barnabas is now using his musical experience to combine both the cello and guitar to create a unique sound, both in the song structures and in his live performances. Barnabas has also been making a name for himself as a session cellist, working with many local artists and bands and recently with the platinum selling band The Breaks Co-Op from New Zealand, formed with Zane Lowe from Radio 1. Other recent recordings have included Zoë Mace, who’s album reached No.5 in the classical music charts, Richard Walters Band - Missing Pieces, and working with Grammy nominated producer Simon Emmerson of Afro Celts fame on The Imagined Village album.

Working also with other producers such as Ian Davenport (Leaves - Richard Walters) and Andy Lovegrove (Badly Drawn Boy, Supergrass, The Kate Garrett Band, Breaks Co-Op).

Barnabas is fast becoming a fresh sound on the musical circuit and is winning fans at every performance. Some recent comments:
